Bucket with a banding strap bottom

The banding strap foot is a reinforcement at the bottom of the bucket which makes it easier to hold the bucket when you want to pour it, because you can then grab it from the bottom; the bottom of the bucket is no longer in direct contact with the ground, it is the strap foot that stays on the ground. The bucket with strap foot may be preferred to the classic bucket, for cleanliness and stability. The banding strap foot straps the base of the bucket.

The strap is a steel strip with certain width, often sold in rolls. Polyester strap is also available for strapping pallets.

If you are looking for a bucket for dry toilets, it is better to invest in a stainless-steel bucket with a banding strap foot: the stainless-steel bucket is more durable and easier to maintain (and does not absorb odors), and the banding strap foot will make it easier to handle the bucket and pour the contents into the compost.
