Champagne bucket holder
The bucket holder can be a table bucket holder in which you can place a bottle bucket to keep a bottle cool within reach of guests without taking up space on the table.
It can also be a bucket holder on a stand, in which case it is placed next to a table or buffet, or on the terrace. An elegant and timeless accessory, it is often used as a champagne bucket holder, but it can also be used to present other drinks that need to be kept cool, such as white wine. Different models of bottle buckets can be installed in these bucket holders.
Be careful, the stainless-steel bucket is not a bucket for a bucket holder!
How do I use a champagne bucket?
Using a champagne bucket is very simple. By following our advice, you will be able to enjoy your champagne at the ideal temperature, which will enhance the tasting experience for your customers and guests.
- Fill the bucket half to two-thirds with ice. Make sure the ice is clean and fresh to keep the champagne cool for the duration of the tasting.
- Once the bucket is filled with ice, carefully place the bottle of champagne in the bucket. Make sure the bottle is completely submerged in the ice for optimal cooling.
- Place the bucket on a stable surface close to where you will be serving the champagne. This can be a coffee table, a serving trolley or a champagne bucket holder, as long as it is secure and easily accessible for your customers or guests.
- When serving the champagne, only remove it from the bucket for a short time in warm weather. This will help keep the champagne cool without heating the bottle too quickly.
- Keep an eye on the ice: if it starts to melt, you can add more to maintain the chilling temperature.
How to transport champagne?
Transporting champagne requires a few precautions to ensure that the bottle remains intact and the champagne does not lose its quality. Our advice will help you transport your champagne safely and enjoy it in perfect condition on arrival.
Choosing the right container
Wooden or cardboard wine boxes offer solid protection. Make sure the box is suitable for the size of the bottle. You can also use insulated bags or a small cooler to keep the champagne at a stable temperature, especially in hot weather.
Wrap the bottle properly
Wrap the bottle in bubble wrap to cushion the impact. If you do not have bubble wrap, use clean towels or clothes to wrap the bottle.
Positioning the bottle
It is often recommended to transport champagne bottles horizontally or at a slight angle to prevent the cork from drying out and losing its seal.
Stabilisation
Make sure the bottle is well wedged and does not move during transport. Use cushions, clothing or other soft objects to keep it in place. If you are transporting the champagne by car, minimise vibration by driving carefully.
Temperature control
Do not leave the bottle in a hot or cold car for long periods of time so that it is not exposed to extreme temperatures, as this can affect the quality of the champagne. If possible, chill the champagne slightly before transporting it, but avoid transporting it directly on ice if the journey is long.
Beware of pressure
Avoid shaking or rough handling of the bottle: champagne is under pressure and rough handling can cause the cork to explode.
Rest after transport
Once you have arrived at your destination, leave the bottle to rest for a few hours before opening it. This will allow the bubbles to stabilise and prevent it from overflowing when opened.
