The kitchen skimmer is a utensil that will allow you to skim (i.e. remove the foam that forms in the cooking or boiling liquid) and drain your food in your cooking or frying liquids. The flat part of this spoon is perforated with holes, like a sieve, to allow the liquid to drain out.
The skimmer can be made of stainless steel, high quality stainless steel, one-piece or not, or plastic such as nylon polyamide, which can be used at high temperatures (up to 220°C). We offer skimmers made of stainless steel, but also of nylon polyamide or polypropylene.
The wire skimmer is also used in cooking, and like the skimmer, it is used to drain and remove food from the cooking bath. The wire skimmer is most commonly used in frying. The end of the wire skimmer is not a perforated spoon, but a mesh of fine stainless-steel wires ; depending on the model, the mesh can be more or less tight.
