Stainless steel high saucepan Russian model Ø 28 cm, height 16 cm, capacity 9.8 L.

18/10 quality stainless steel, outside and inside satin polished. Non-drip edge. Hollow tubular stay cool handles made of stainless steel, ergonomically shaped. Uniform thickness in sides and bottoms. Sandwich thermoradiant bottom (stainless steel - aluminum - stainless steel). Concave bottom when cold and flat when hot ; 100% heat exploiting.

Perfect for use on any type of stove, whether gas, electric, glass ceramic cooking surface or induction stove. All items have an induction suited sandwich bottom.

Description

The lid for this saucepan, which can be used with all Paderno 28 cm diameter cookware, is available under Art. Nr. 11061-28, or 11161-28 if you prefer a model with a tubular handle (cold handle).

These saucepans are available in different diameters: 12 cm, 14 cm, 16 cm, 18 cm, 20 cm, 22 cm, 24 cm, 28 cm, 32 cm and 36 cm.

The name 'Russian saucepan” refers to a recipe in which ingredients are piled in layers in a casserole and then cooked together. It's probably named by analogy with the Russian culinary tradition of preparing dishes by layering ingredients, as in the famous Russian dish 'koulibiac'. That's why it's a high saucepan.
