Conical aluminium colander with stainless steel handles, diameter 40 cm, capacity 17 L. The 18/10 stainless steel tubular handles that stay cool.

This aluminium colander is ideal for washing and draining vegetables. Also available in 45 cm diameter, Art. 16927-45, and 50 cm diameter, Art. 16927-50.

Not dishwasher safe.

How do I clean an aluminium colander? It's best to use a washing-up brush: the usual sponge can disintegrate and get stuck between the holes in the colander! You can use a conventional washing-up liquid on your brush and gently scrub all the holes.

Description

You can also soak your aluminium colander in a mixture of hot water and white vinegar. The hot water will loosen the heaviest residue.

Precautions for aluminium: before using for the first time, wash thoroughly with water and a suitable detergent. After use, clean the products avoiding steel straws and alkaline detergents, which discolour and eat away at aluminium, even if diluted. However, standard scouring sponges are perfectly compatible.

Washing in a dishwasher at a temperature above 35°C may cause stains or marks to form on the surface.
